Pink Wedding Ceremony Decorations

Pink is one of the favorite colors for weddings. It is feminine, romantic, and pretty; no wonder it is so popular! Decorating with pink is definitely fun, and these are some of the best ideas for pink wedding ceremony decorations.

If you are a bride who adores pink, you know that it is hard to overdo it. It is such a soft color that pink looks wonderful for everything from bridesmaid dresses and jewelry sets to flowers and ribbons, and much more. A great way to use pink is to mix shades of varying intensities. You can try this with the wedding attire by layering deep pink sets of bridesmaid jewelry with pale pink dresses, and the same concept works beautifully for your wedding decorations to give them depth and interest.

Decor Ations

Flowers are the cornerstone of wedding ceremony decor. Almost every flower imaginable comes in some shade of pink, making it easy to work with. Plan on having large floral displays for the altar. They need to have a strong presence at a distance, so large blossoms will work the best. Vibrant pink Stargazer lilies have a rich and exotic look that is ideal for a formal wedding.

The large dome shape of hydrangeas are also marvelous when you need flowers which can be seen from a distance. Hydrangeas are great because they can be displayed informally in large galvanized buckets (think outdoor wedding on Martha's Vineyard) or in formal tall vases (ballroom of a grand hotel). A gorgeous effect can be created by mixing pretty pink hydrangeas with green ones. The texture will be uniform, while the contrasting colors will create visual interest.

Aisle decorations can add a lot of style to a wedding ceremony site. Because your guests will see them up close, they can be on a smaller scale. This is a case of using many of the same thing to create a striking effect. One very pretty decorating idea is to hang small vases on the end of each pew or chair and fill them with pink flowers such as romantic sweetpeas. Another adorable aisle decoration is miniature boxwood wreaths tied with a simple pink ribbon. They would look equally at home in an old white clapboard New England church or an outdoor ceremony in a garden.

For a modern twist on a pink wedding ceremony, think about custom lighting. A pink monogram projected onto a wall would be an incredible backdrop for the bride and groom. It would really help to define the area in which the vows will be exchanged in a modern venue like a loft. Another really cool idea is to line the aisle with white birch trees and set pink uplighting into the base of each tree. It would create a truly magical walkway for the bride.

Don't forget about the floor of your ceremony venue. Who says that wedding aisle runners have to be plain white? A pink aisle runner would really show that you are a bride who thinks of everything! And think of how much better a beautiful train on a bridal gown will stand out over a pink runner as compared to a white one. Then of course there are flower petals to consider. Walking down an aisle strewn with pretty pink rose petals is always romantic.

There are so many lovely ways to decorate your wedding ceremony with pink that you may find it hard to narrow it down to one style. Then again, why should you? When it comes to pink, the more the merrier!
